LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Actor Bryan Cranston announced on Thursday that he had recovered from COVID-19 after positive testing and donated plasma to help others.

The Breaking Bad star shared a video message on Instagram: “Hello. Around now you are probably feeling a bit tied up, restricting your mobility and like me you are tired of it !! Well, I just want to encourage you to be a little more patient. I followed the protocols fairly strictly and yet … I got infected with the virus. Yes. It now sounds daunting that over 150,000 Americans are dead because of it. "

Cranston continued: “I was one of the lucky ones. Slight symptoms. I count my blessings and urge you to continue wearing the damn mask, wash your hands, and stay socially distant. We can prevail – but ONLY if we follow the rules together. Be healthy – stay healthy. "

In the video, Cranston showed how he donated plasma at the UCLA Blood And Plasma Center and said: "Hopefully, plasma donation can help some other people."

According to Cranston, the whole process took about an hour and he could see the film "A Face in the Crowd" when he donated 840 milliliters.
