Chris Taylor and AJ Pollock each scored a single runscoring in the 10th inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat a rare off-night for ace Clayton Kershaw to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 on Wednesday.

Kershaw struggled early with his command, allowing four runs – three earned – with four hits in five innings.

Los Angeles linked the game with two runs in the fourth and his bullpen held to send the game into additional innings.

Jake McGee (3-1) scored two goals in the ninth game, and Taylor beat Kevin Ginkel (0-2) after Corey Seager started on the second base under the new extra-inning rules of baseball.

Pollock made it 6-4 with a single from Hector Rondon, and Blake Treinen worked a perfect 10th for his first rescue in the Dodgers' seventh straight win over Arizona.

Mookie Betts and Kiké Hernández each met a solo homer for the leaders of NL West.

Arizona lost 18 out of 20.

Kershaw arrived in the desert with a four-game winning streak, but spent the early part of Wednesday's game finding breaking balls and mumbling to himself.

Arizona loaded the bases in the second game with no outs against Kershaw and took a 3-2 lead on a groundout, Jon Jay's sacrificial fly and Tim Locastro's triple. The Diamondbacks made it 4-0 against Nick Ahmed's double and Betts' double fault on the right in the fifth.

Arizona starter Taylor Clarke made a tough start on his last start, allowing three runs in three innings against the Giants.

Betts greeted the right-hander with a leadoff home run and Hernandez hit another solo shot in the second. The Dodgers took the lead 4-3 with two runs in the fourth with a groundout and Hernandez & # 39; runscoring single.

Clarke retired the last eight batters, allowing four runs with four hits with five strikeouts in six innings.

The Diamondbacks placed INF / OF Ketel Marte on the 10-day list of injured with left wrist inflammation. He scored .290 in 40 games with two homers and 14 RBIs that season.

Arizona also recalled RHP Joel Payamps and INF / OF Josh VanMeter from the alternative training location and selected LHP Joe Mantiply.

Dodgers: 3B Justin Turner could get off the injured list this weekend, possibly as a designated batsman. He's not there since straining his left achilles tendon on Aug 29 to steal a base.

Diamondbacks: RHP Merrill Kelly had thoracic outlet syndrome surgery to relieve pressure on the nerves around his right shoulder. He's out for the season.

Dodgers: RHP Dustin May (1-1, 2.88 ERA) will face Arizona on Thursday after allowing his final start two runs in 5 2/3 innings without a decision against Colorado.

Diamondbacks: LHP Madison Bumgarner (0-4, 8:44) will make his second start since returning from the injury list with a middle back strain against the Dodgers on Thursday. He allowed two runs in four innings against the Giants to make his first start back.
