Naomi Osaka won her second US Open title and defeated Victoria Azarenka 1: 6, 6: 3, 6: 3.

Only 22-year-old Osaka won her third Grand Slam title by turning the match around after playing poorly in the first set.

Azarenka fell to 0: 3 in three sets in the US Open final. She lost to Serena Williams in both the 2012 and 2013 finals.

Before the game, both were unbeaten during an extended stay in New York, where the Western & Southern Open were played before the US Open. Azarenka won this tournament, which was usually played in Ohio, but moved due to the coronavirus pandemic when Osaka was eliminated from the final with a hamstring injury.

The players are greeted by sunny skies and a breeze after playing their semi-finals on Thursday with the Arthur Ashe Stadium roof closed due to heavy rain.
