(CBS Local) – The NFL season is just around the corner, which means it's time for fantasy football. In an unusual year, maintenance and lineup trends are more important than ever. And the guys at Fantasy Football Today, Jamey Eisenberg and Heath Cummings, have you covered. Each week throughout the season, you'll get the best starting options and the options you want to avoid as you lead your team to the glory of fantasy football.

Week 1, the Guys Council starts with some names that you might not necessarily expect in the starting column. Josh Allen, Jared Goff and Tyrod Taylor are all on Eisenberg's starting list for this week. The main reason for Allen, according to Eisenberg, is that he expects a "breakout campaign". It starts with a bold prediction: "The first 300-yard game of Josh Allen's career comes in Week 1 with the matchup against the Jets Secondary, who defeated Jamal Adams." It's also noteworthy that Stefon Diggs is making his Bill's debut, which is a new weapon for Allen's arsenal.

As for Goff, the boys see the Rams-Cowboys matchup at the new SoFi stadium as a potential shootout that gives the QB a chance to score some big fantasy points in its fifth year.

On the seat side, Heath doesn't like the matchup for Green Bay Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers.

"I'm not sure Aaron Rodgers will throw 200 yards," said Cummings. “He hardly did that in the two matchups with the Vikings last year. These are two teams that really want to play soccer, play slow and play defense. I expect an ugly, low score game. I don't want to start a quarterback in this game, but the surprising one is Aaron Rodgers. "

As you might have guessed, Kirk Cousins is on the do-not-start list, as is Giants' sophomore QB Daniel Jones against an evil Steelers defense.

The guys gave three players at each point they would start and three where they would sit. You can watch the video above and watch Fantasy Football Today on CBS Sports HQ or listen to the podcast for advice on lineups, disclaimers, and more.
